Random Uploads – Photos from The Palace Museum (Gugong)

Currently uploading random scraps of new photos of the Palace Museum of Beijing in preparation for more work on- the gargantuan Palace Museum Report, Virtual Walk-through and Photo-Tour. It is now possible to explore around the Forbidden City Walls East, West & North, and walk inside as far North as the Palace of Heavenly Purity, on the Palace and City Central Axis, inside the Nei Ting. Also added –  From a very pleasant walk east of the Forbidden City, exploring the Hutong north of Chang An avenue, some very rare photos of a quiet Imperial Library and recently renovated Hutong (2003 hutong under renovation photos). These parts of hutong I heard in 2005 were once part of the Imperial Palace City. However, so far I haven’t found out exactly if this means they were part of the Forbidden City proper. I hope to find out researching the internet and some books.
