A New Scoop for the China Report – Internet’s First …

Introducing an interesting new Satellite Image of Zhong Hai and Na Hai Lake. Better known as ZhongNanHai, and sometimes as the New Forbidden City, this area is home to the Chinese Leadership (compound) and is as such off limits to the General Public. This View from Space gives an unique opportunity to view the Lay-out of both Zhong Hai and Nan Hai Lake, once part of the Main Watersource of the Ancient Imperial City of Beijing, and their surrounding (once Imperial ) Chinese Pleasure Gardens. The whole area, now seat of the Chinese Communist Party (and country ) leadership, is continueous with Bei Hai ( Park ), Qian Hai and Hou Hai to The North. Waters flow from Beijing’s Western Mountains, through an elaborate Canal system to Hou Hai. Through Hou Hai, Qian Hai, Bei Hai, and via Zhong Hai underneath Jin Ding Bridge to Nan Hai these waters continue into the Forbidden City Moat, from where, eventually, they find their way East into The Golden River stream just North of Wu Men ( Five Phoenix Tower) – Meridan Gate, inside the Imperial Palace ( Forbidden City ) Grounds.

Ps- Extra Addition – a Short Page on the ChaoYang located Gloria Plaza Hotel, near Jianghuomen, Ancient Observatory and Red Gate Gallery.
